The academy transforms the lives of vulnerable young people in Zambia through a long-term, holistic approach that creates pathways out of poverty. We combine elite football coaching with character development to create conscientious individuals who can lead the new generation. Our academic support sessions based on Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM), equips participants with the skills needed for developing nations in a rapidly changing world.
Our outreach model ensures that vulnerable young people from rural communities have access to quality education and adequate sanitation. We partner with communities for whom the government funded education system is out of reach to improve infrastructure in community schools with provision of classroom blocks, latrines, boreholes and teachers houses. We also run HIV/AIDS awareness sessions and sanitation and hygiene education in local schools and other football clubs.
The Football Club
Once graduated from our academy, boys and girls are given the chance to play in our elite football teams who play in Southern Province Division One. These players are leaders and role models for our younger people in the community, inspiring them to achieve. This model demonstrates that football clubs do not have to be run for profit and are a powerful tool in bringing communities together, contributing to positive social change.
