Event Details

When is the trip?

1st–6th July 2027, with the Victoria Falls Marathon taking place on Sunday 4th July 2027.

Where will we be staying?

You’ll be based in Livingstone, Zambia, just across the border from Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.

What race distances are available?

Choose from the full marathon (42.2 km), half marathon (21.1 km), relay (10.5km) or fun run (7.5km).

You don’t need to be an experienced marathon runner to join us. Whether you’re looking for a serious challenge or something more relaxed, everyone is welcome.

What's included in the trip?

Our organised trip is designed to help you make the most of your time in Zambia, combining the marathon with opportunities to explore the local area and experience Play it Forward’s work firsthand.

How much does it cost?

£999pp

In addition to the trip cost, we ask participants to commit to raising funds for Play it Forward.

£1,000 for the full and half marathon distances. £500 for the relay and fun run distances.

We’ll be there to support you with fundraising ideas, resources and encouragement along the way.

Do I need to organise my own flights?

Yes, participants are responsible for booking and paying for their own flights. We recommend flying into Livingstone Airport (LVI) in Zambia, which is the closest airport to our base.

There are regular connections via Johannesburg, making Livingstone accessible from the UK and other international destinations. We’ll provide guidance on travel arrangements and recommended flight options to help you plan your journey.

Can I extend my stay?

If you’d like to spend more time exploring Zambia or the surrounding region, please get in touch and we can discuss the options.
